This Privacy Policy explains how Vendoor Digital Private Limited (“Vendoor”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, shares, and safeguards your information when you use our mobile application or website that enables users to discover nearby vendors, place orders, and receive doorstep deliveries. Please read this policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your personal data.
Vendoor may collect certain personal information that can identify you directly or indirectly. This may include your name, phone number, address, email address (if provided), and payment-related details necessary for completing transactions. We may also collect device information, app activity data, and location data, with your consent, to enhance user experience and enable our core services.
By using the Vendoor app or our related services, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time by discontinuing use of the app or requesting account deletion.
Vendoor does not knowingly collect or process information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has shared personal data with us, please contact us immediately at support@vendoor.co.in so that we can remove the data.
We collect data necessary to provide and improve our services. This includes personal and transactional information such as your name, contact details, and address for deliveries. Payment details are collected through secure third-party payment gateways that comply with industry standards. We also collect order history and related usage data to display your past purchases and enhance your experience. Location information may be collected with your permission to help identify nearby vendors and coordinate deliveries. Device identifiers and analytics data may be collected for app performance optimization, crash diagnostics, and push notifications. For vendors and delivery partners, we collect business and operational details such as business name, registration details, address, product listings, pricing, performance metrics, and payout details. This information is collected to ensure smooth operation, legal compliance, and timely payouts. We may use trusted third-party tools such as Firebase Analytics, Google Maps API, and OneSignal. These tools collect limited technical information (such as device type, OS version, app usage data, and device tokens for notifications) solely for operational, analytical, and communication purposes. Each third party operates under its own privacy policy and adheres to standard security and compliance practices.
To deliver core features securely and efficiently, the Vendoor app requires certain permissions on your device:
Foreground Location Access: Our app uses foreground location access to enable real-time tracking of delivery partners and vendors. The location is used only while services are active and is displayed to users for navigation or order tracking purposes.
Photo Access: Used when users, vendors, or delivery partners upload photos (e.g., store images, product photos, or profile pictures). This access is initiated only by the user and is used solely for display and operational purposes.
Video Access: Used when users or vendors upload short product or promotional videos. The access is user-initiated and limited to upload and display within the app.
The information we collect is used primarily to provide and improve our services. This includes enabling vendor discovery, processing orders and deliveries, managing accounts, sending notifications, and personalizing user experience. We also use this data for app diagnostics, performance enhancement, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
For instance, your location information helps us suggest nearby vendors and assign delivery partners efficiently. Crash logs and analytics data allow us to diagnose issues and maintain app stability. Device or app identifiers collected through OneSignal are used to deliver push notifications such as order updates and service alerts.
We share limited personal information only when necessary to deliver our services effectively. Your information may be shared with vendors, delivery partners, payment processors, and analytics service providers like Firebase and OneSignal. We do not sell or rent your data to advertisers. Information is only shared with trusted entities that maintain strict data protection standards.
We do not sell or rent your personal data to advertisers or unrelated third parties. Information is only shared with entities bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations. Legal authorities may be provided access to data if required by law or for fraud prevention purposes.
We implement robust security measures, including encryption, tokenization, and restricted access to protect your data from unauthorized use. Vendoor complies with the Google Play User Data Policy and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act to ensure that sensitive information such as payment and location data is handled securely.
Users may request deletion of their Vendoor account at any time, subject to the conditions described below. Account deletion results in the removal or anonymization of personal information associated with the account, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
For customers, account deletion can be initiated directly through the Vendoor app by navigating to the Profile section and selecting the “Delete Account” option available under the Privacy Policy. Once the deletion request is confirmed, personal details such as name, contact information, delivery address, and order history are permanently deleted or anonymized. This action is irreversible. Certain transactional or payment-related records may be temporarily retained where required for reconciliation, fraud prevention, or compliance with applicable laws, including tax regulations. Such data is securely stored and deleted in accordance with legal retention requirements.
For vendors and delivery partners, account deletion is available upon request and may require verification and confirmation. Vendors may initiate a deletion request by contacting Vendoor through the registered communication channels. Upon deletion, vendor profile information and access credentials are removed or anonymized. However, transaction records, payout details, invoices, and tax-related information, including GST data, may be retained for a period of five years, as required under applicable Indian laws and regulatory obligations. This retained information is used strictly for legal, accounting, audit, or dispute-resolution purposes and is not used for marketing or commercial activities after account deletion. Once the legally mandated retention period expires, such data is permanently deleted or anonymized.
Account deletion does not affect transactions completed prior to the deletion request or any outstanding legal or compliance obligations. In cases where payouts, disputes, or compliance checks are pending, deletion may be processed only after such matters are resolved. If users face any difficulty in initiating or completing the deletion process, they may contact us at support@vendoor.co.in for assistance.
For vendors and delivery partners registered on our platform, we collect limited business and operational information to enable the fulfillment of services. This includes name, business registration details, contact information, product or service details, and payout-related data. Delivery partners’ live location data is collected only during active deliveries and is not stored afterward.
This information is used strictly for operational management, performance tracking, and statutory compliance, and is never shared with third parties for advertising or profiling. Vendors and delivery partners may request data correction or deletion by contacting support@vendoor.co.in
You have the right to access, update, or correct your information, request deletion of your account, and opt out of non-essential notifications. You may also request a copy of the personal data held by Vendoor, subject to applicable laws. To exercise any of these rights, please contact our support team at support@vendoor.co.in
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Revised versions will be available in-app and on our website, with the latest revision date clearly mentioned. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
